Power-Plate vibration plates

Power-Plate is the indisputed leader among the studio vibration plates / vibration equipments. Originally, the training with vibration plates was developed in the 70ies by the Russian astronautics. It was considered for the astronauts of the space station MIR in order to counteract the extreme muscular atrophy and the strong bones' atrophy which were the result of the long stay in the space. In 1998, Guus van der Meer, a Dutch olympic trainer, developed an improved vibration plate of which the construction is adjusted to the whole body. This marked the success of Power-Plate. Since then, Power-Plate is successfully used by professionnal athletes, by fitness centres and during physical therapies. Power-Plate is a synonyme for vibration plates.
