The Suunto S-Lander was developed especially for wintersports. It combines an altimeter, barometer, watch and a stop watch. It gives real time info on altitude, number of ski laps, atmospheric pressure and temperature.
The logbook of the Suunto S-Lander records the total number and average ascents and descents, as well as the number of laps (ascents and descents with at least 50m altitude difference). The 24-hour-memory records hourly the altitude, ascent and descent rate. The barometric functions of the Suunto S-Lander allow for weather predictions, so that you can make safe decisions on ski slopes as well as in remote, snow-covered regions. The Suunto S-Lander features a solid aluminum casing with a water-resistant wristband. The large, yellow display is easy-to-read even when there is a strong glare.
